Following the very public debate that followed after VBH luxury house claimed that the purse Michelle O carried during her Russia "walk in the woods" was one of their pricey $5,950 alligator purses, VBH now admits it made a mistake, and "sort of" agrees with the White House that the purse was the $875 patent stunner.

Or Does it? VBH rep, Kelly Vitko allegedly issued the following retraction -“If that’s what the White House is saying, then it’s a patent bag.” Cute!

Does it really matter what Michelle O's purse costs? Is she only allowed to carry affordable target lines? These days, she is the face of the American woman. Or is she? If she is, then maybe she can, perharps carry a purse that some American women can afford - recession or not. We have to be realistic - someone in America is buying that purse, recession or not. Let's be clear - I won't be buying that alligator clutch anytime soon!
